ESSENTIAL OILS USED IN AROMATHERAPY FACIALS:

ESSENTIAL OILS:

Each essential oil has its specific and individual properties, efficiency, applications and reactions, as no two essential oils are identical in action or reaction, even if they resemble alike. In certain conditions strong oils are blended with oils of neutral intensity so as to tone down virulence of the forms, and oils of wilder effect are blended with strong essential oils to enhance effect of the latter. Similarly when vegetable oils are used as a carrier, they are also blended with in the aforesaid manner and purpose in the same that is to tone down strong properties or enhance the properties to the wilder ones.

 Following guidelines may be borne in mind while deciding about choice of the most suitable carrier oil.

Benzoin- it helps to stimulation, hence used as stimulating oil.
Lavender- has a stimulating and antiseptic effect; good for spots, blemishes and oily skin.
Patchouli-   it is relaxing oil. it is used to dispel acne and  eczema.  Its sosothes dry and flaky skin.
Frankincense- it is used as relaxing oil. It rejuvenates and regenerates skin.
Neroli- it is very good for broken capillaries and used around under eye area. It  is used for rejuvenating and regenerating
Myrrh -   it is stimulating oil, which nourishes mature skin.
Geranium- it is uplifting and relaxing oil. It controls emotion and balances combination skin
