PEPPERMINT OIL USED IN AROMATHERAPY

PEPPERMINT OIL  USED IN AROMATHERAPY:

  • Peppermint oil is obtained from steam distillation of leaves and its whole plant (dried partially). Its oil is a strong and refreshing fragrance. It removes digestion related problems like flatulence, indigestion, nausea, toothache. It is a decongestant, hence used for the colds, sunburn, headache etc.

  • Aromatherapy: it is invigorating and refreshing and is quite often used in massage, baths and inhalation. If some drops are dropped on a hanky and inhaled, it will alleviate sea-sickness, travel sickness, headache, nasal congestion etc.

Note: do not use its concentration beyond 1% as it can cause irritation to the skin.
