EUCALYPTUS OIL IS USED IN AROMATHERAPY:

Eucalyptus oil is volatile oil obtained by hydro distillation from the scythe- shaped fresh leaves of Eucalyptus globules and from other species of Eucalyptus ( Mytaceae).

It is cultivated in southern Europe and in Asian countries. The oil is a colorless aromatic, somewhat camphoraceous odor and a pungent, spicy and cooling taste. 

Eucalyptus - Of the 300 species of eucalyptus trees in the world.  Eucalyptus has long been used in topical preparations such as antiseptic and healing properties.  It produces very satisfactory results in scurf, chapped hands, cafes dandruff, tender feet, spot on the cheat arms, back and legs and pain in the joints. Cineole is the major constituent.

It is used as local application for ulcer and sores; one ounce of oil is added to one pint of lukewarm water and used for washing.

Aromatherapy: 

 It has cooling impact on the body and is used in inhalation, bath and massage. It also removes aches and pains of rheumatic/ muscular origin. It is also used for as a rub in cold, cough. Put a few drops on a hanky and breathe in its useful oil to clear congestion of the head. If used in bath, it can relieve cystitis.
